Our Story
The Welcome Centre Shelter for Women and Families passionately commits to improving the lives of women+ and families impacted by homelessness in our community.
We have 35 years of experience in supporting women and children facing adversity, and we’ve ensured our services have evolved to meet their changing needs, which includes supporting youth and members of the LGTBQ2S+ population.
In 2024, we began year one of a five-year strategic plan that put us on a track to be more intentional with our future expansion goals, linked to measurable outcomes and all with low-income women at the heart of programs.
